The company

What is M2M Solutions?

M2M Solutions Ghana Ltd is a telematics company headquartered in Accra, Ghana. It was registered in 2008 and signed its first mining contract, with Newmont, in 2009. It provides vehicle tracking, fleet management, AI video telematics, mining production and safety systems, fuel and generator monitoring, asset and IoT tracking, insurance telematics, passenger counting and a 24/7 monitoring bureau, all on one platform.

Where is M2M Solutions located?

The head office is at First Floor, Mortty Office Back Building, No. 12 Noi Fetreke Street, Airport Residential Area, Accra, Ghana, behind Fabrico Builders in the same compound (+233 24 213 0272). There are also offices in Kolwezi, DR Congo (N56, Route Likasi, +243 821 178 549), South Africa (+27 76 947 9005) and Mapou, Mauritius (Labourdonnais Village, +230 266 5000).

Which countries does M2M work in?

M2M has installations in more than ten countries across Africa, Asia and Latin America, including Ghana, Ivory Coast, Guinea, Mauritania, DR Congo, Tanzania, South Africa, Mauritius, Suriname and Pakistan. AI video telematics is live on mine sites in Ghana, Ivory Coast, DR Congo, Tanzania, Pakistan and Suriname.

Who are M2M's clients?

Mining clients include Newmont (Ahafo South, Ahafo North, Akyem and Suriname), AngloGold Ashanti (Iduapriem), Gold Fields (Tarkwa and Damang), Glencore (Kamoto Copper Company and Mutanda), Nordgold (Lefa), Kinross (Tasiast) and Perseus Mining (Ghana, Ivory Coast and Tanzania). M2M also serves banks, telecoms, property groups, logistics operators and public-sector fleets.

Vehicle tracking and fleet management

What does M2M fleet management include?

Live GPS tracking and trip history, driver behaviour and eco-driving scores, driver identification, CAN bus engine diagnostics, maintenance scheduling, journey management with pre-trip risk assessment, safety and security features, field service dispatch and AI-customised reports and dashboards. See Fleet Management.

Can I stop a stolen vehicle?

Yes. M2M trackers support remote ignition blocking and anti-push-start, and the 24/7 monitoring bureau runs stolen-vehicle response with immobilisation, live tracking and coordination with responders.

Can the system identify who is driving?

Yes. iButton, RFID or face ID attribute every trip and violation to a driver. The system sends licence expiry notifications and can block a driver from a vehicle class their licence does not cover.

Can I see my vehicles on my phone?

Yes. Clients log in at fleet.m2m-ghana.com on the web or use the mobile app. Alerts can go to the web, the mobile app, email, the driver's cab or the 24/7 bureau.

AI video telematics and driver safety

What do M2M's AI cameras detect?

Driver-monitoring (DMS) models detect fatigue and microsleeps, distraction, phone use, smoking and missing seatbelts. ADAS models warn of forward collisions, short headway, lane departure and pedestrians, and blind-spot (BSD) cameras protect people and light vehicles around trucks. See AI Video Telematics.

Do the AI cameras need a network connection to work?

No. The AI runs on the camera, so risk is detected and the driver is warned in the cab in under a second, with or without coverage. The event clip, with speed, time and GPS, uploads to the platform when the connection allows.

Mining

What mining safety controls does M2M provide?

Breath-alcohol interlocks, AI fatigue and behaviour cameras, brake-test confirmation before pit entry, blast boxes that confirm personnel and equipment are clear before a blast, personal trackers in high-visibility vests, zone-based haul-truck speed management and blind-spot cameras. See Mining & Production.

Can M2M track load and haul production?

Yes. Haul trucks, shovels and crews report position, payload and status in real time, giving tonnes moved, cycle times and queuing at shovels per truck and per shift, with cost dashboards.

Fuel, generators and assets

How does M2M detect fuel theft?

Capacitive fuel level sensors, flow meters and CAN bus readings feed one fuel engine. AI flags sudden drops, slow siphoning and abnormal consumption, then checks each event against location, ignition state and camera footage before alerting. See Fuel & Genset Management.

Can you monitor diesel generators of any brand?

Yes. The genset gateway reads the controller over CAN J1939, Modbus or S6 and adds its own fuel sensors, giving one parameter database across brands: up to 300 parameters, including fuel, engine hours, RPM, voltage, temperature, pressures, power and fault codes.

Can M2M track trailers, equipment and people?

Yes. Trackers and IoT terminals cover trailers, containers, generators, pumps, tools, personnel and buildings, with geofencing, out-of-hours movement alerts and hub-to-hub relay where there is no GSM. See Asset & IoT Tracking.

Insurance, monitoring and passenger counting

What does M2M offer insurers?

Usage-based insurance telematics: machine-learning driver scoring, automatic first notice of loss, millisecond accident reconstruction to fight fraud, and portfolio analytics. See Insurance Telematics.

What does the 24/7 monitoring bureau do?

Accredited control-room operators verify AI-flagged fleet, CCTV and site events against each client's procedures, then call the driver, dispatch a response or notify the supervisor, around the clock. Operators are certified through ISASA and assignments rotate between clients. See Monitoring Bureau.

What is passenger counting used for?

AI and 3D sensors above each door count boardings and alightings per stop on buses, man-haulers and staff shuttles. Mines use the live headcount for shift changes and emergency musters, operators use it to bill transport contracts, and the system alerts at licensed capacity. See Passenger Counting.

Getting started

How much does vehicle tracking cost?

Pricing depends on the number of vehicles or assets, the hardware and the services you choose. Send your requirements through the contact form or call +233 24 213 0272, and a solutions engineer replies within one business day.

What warranty comes with the hardware?

M2M tracking devices carry a 5-year warranty and are installed, calibrated and maintained by M2M's own technicians.

Can M2M integrate with our existing systems?

Yes. The platform has open APIs, supports 3,500+ CAN vehicle profiles and integrates with third-party FMS, ERP and access-control systems. On-premises hosting is available where a site requires it.

How do existing clients get support?

Log in at fleet.m2m-ghana.com, or call the support line on +233 24 213 0272, which is answered 24/7.
